Nutrition… Food is Medicine
I wholeheartedly believe in bio-individuality and thus support people tapping into an intuitive approach to eating where one learns to really listen to their body, make informed choices and take a thoughtful approach to nourishing through nutrition. We need to recognize that our physiology is constantly changing as we move through developmental stages, journey through various personal life experiences, endure traumas, injuries and illness etc. That is to say that while one particular approach to diet doesn’t suit everybody, a particular approach might also not work long term for you. What once served you may no longer and it is important to be attuned to that messaging. My personal nutrition philosophy involves prioritising seasonal, local, sustainable, ethically, organically and regeneratively grown and produced Whole Foods, and this is the foundation for my education for others. Everything else can be individualised. I don’t subscribe to any particular dietary theory but I continue to spend a great deal of time considering research and studying various schools of thought, and I feel that considering one’s nutrition and gut microbiome should be on top of the list when addressing any aspect of health and happiness. I offer comprehensive nutritional assessments and personalised plans…including support with supplementation, where indicated. I facilitate microbiome testing with detailed results interpretation and care planning and I can support you in arranging specific investigations with medical practitioners, and then understanding and implementing suggested dietary changes. I tailor plans to meet your individual goals.
A Note On Gut Health…
The integrity of our gut lining and the health of our microbiome is now understood to play a significant role in virtually all aspects of health and happiness (that’s right…your gut affects your mood too). Whilst scientists are still in the early stages of discovering the depth and breadth of just how gut health affects various other organs and processes within the body, the message is very clear….Gut health is vitally important. And not just for people who experience digestive issues. The health of our gut impacts us systemically. Mental health issues, autoimmune conditions, cardiovascular problems, brain disorders, cancer and so much more is now considered to have strong links with the health of our remarkable gastrointestinal system.

Feeding Your Child
Feeding your child can be one of the most instinctive and nurturing ways of parenting through love. Unfortunately in some families, for a variety of reasons, this doesn’t always come naturally or easily for parent or child. Developmental difficulties, emotional and mental health challenges and gastrointestinal issues are just some of the reasons for disordered eating and poor nutrition.
Optimizing children’s nutritional intake through understanding the core of the problem, deciphering the masses of available nutritional information and implementing family lifestyle and behaviour modification plans, is an element of service delivery that can be supported through ongoing engagement and home visits.
